I'd have to respectfully disagree, and replace your "still" with
"not." Lynx is so incredibly fast! Download v2.6 from
ftp2.cc.ukans.edu (look in /pub/WWW/lynx/lynx2-6) and compile it. If
you have any problems, please feel free to email me. Then, browse the
sites you frequent the most. You'll notice such an increase in speed,
I doubt you'll go back to Netscape.

I'm sorry, I'm going to have to go with Nate on this one. Using a
star (*) _will_ confuse sh, csh, tcsh, etc. To get around this, escape
the star with a backslash:
(2) amcl22 3:46am ~> lynx http://www.yo.com/hi*wow
becomes
(3) amcl22 3:46am ~> lynx http://www.yo.com/hi\*wow
: And I'm especially not going to think a site bad just because you
: can't view it under lynx.
There was a recent survey done that found that almost 90% of "web
surfers" were interested in text content, while around 30% would
also consider graphical content important. I'd really like to cite
the actual percentages and site, but it's almost 4am.
By the way, lynx v2.6 can do almost everything Netscape can do
(obviously aside from graphics). Oh, and lynx is great inside
ProTERM! :)
