   Good choice.

And I've got a copuleof answers. I strongly encourage you to read
over the comp.sys.apple2 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) at
http://www.visi.com/~nathan/a2/faq/csa2.html which has lots of questions
with answers.

> 1.) Where do I find Apple II archive sites? Is there any list available?

The FAQ has a list (section #30), or a smaller list can be found at
http://www.visi.com/~nathan/a2/index.html

> 2.) What kind of public domain terminal programs do exist?

Several-- see section #34 of the FAQ. Zlink is shareware, but
regarded as one of the best. Also see Steve Cavanaugh's Modem disk in
section #87 for a modem disk and a lot of other utils for roughly $3.

> 3.) Is there a program to read/write/format Apple DOS 3.3 disks on PC's?

Due to hardware incompatabilities, this is not possible without
(rare) addon hardware. See section #38 of the FAQ; a serial link is
probably your best bet once you have a terminal program at both ends.

> 4.) Where can I get the program "shrinkit"?

The A2 sites from #1, Steve Cavanaugh's modem disk, or see section
#40 of the FAQ/

> 5.) How can I get Disk images of my Apple II disks?

There are programs like ADT if you have a serial line out of your computer.

> 6.) What is the best (most compatible) Apple II emulator on the PC?

I have a real Apple II which I use; I don't bother with emulators.
ApplePC and/or Applewin are the best-regarded ones, apparently. The
apple2.caltech.edu ftp site had some binaries of these emulators a
while back, if I recall corectly. [It's not responding right now so I can't
verify that ]
