The source for AWGS came to me on 5 3.5 inch macintosh high density
disks.
I understand the ORIGINAL archive came on a Syquest 44 Meg cartridge.
I built the source and did an object code compare to verify that indeed
that the source built version 1.1 of AWGS.
I made only a few changes to the source (To make it compile on AsmIIgs,
I had a newer version) and the object code matched.
This source was archived and I sent a copy to Jim Merritt and Quality
computers.
I then proceeded to go over the list of fixes and started working on
them. This went on for 3 months. I then started asking how I was to
be paid. I was strung along and then I just stopped working on the
project since I couldn't get a straight answer about payment.
I, to this day, still have the original and the 2.0 prototype source
code. But unless I get in WRITING from Quality computers that I can use
the source. I am powerless to distribute ANYTHING.
