I could probably borrow an old Multisync monitor for further testing,
but since my goal was to replace a bulky CRT with an LCD, I'll pass.
I'll leave that experiment for someone else. I realize that driving an
LCD from a IIgs via any means is going to less than perfect. Some of
this is due to the non-standard video of the IIgs and some due to the
LCD not being able to handle the "blending" that a CRT would do.
Given all of the above and considering how little I spent, I am
pleased with my current setup. The main reason I bothered posting all
the pictures and comments was so that others would know that there was
a viable, less expensive option vs the $100-$200 scan doublers. With
this particular board feeding the LCD at its native resolution, I
think I've gotten as good an image as I'm going to get. For me, it's
good enough.
