On the Mac - the ProDOS part of the thing will not come up
and work unless you have an 800k diskette in the disk
drive. 1.4mb disks are (at least in my version) not
supported. Check to see what kind of disk you have in the
drive. If it is a High Density Diskette, put a piece of
tape (masking tape - not scotch tape) over the HD hole
(ie: Not the one with the little slider in it). This will
fool the Mac into thinking it is an 800k diskette and then
you can read/write/format it as such.
