Has anyone had problems trying to load and use the latest version of
BASIC (1.5) included with GSOS 6.01 when using a Ramfast rev C 3.01c card. I
get some strange results when I click on the BASIC icon when using the hard
drive but not when loading from the 6.01 system disk.
The symptoms when loading from the hard drive using a Ramfast card are:
1) the basic logo comes up and then nothing happens. There is no cursor
unless I hit return.
2) when running a simple BASIC program, say to print 'Hello', the line #
precedes the character string on the monitor screen i.e.
10 print "hello" when run displays #10 hello
3) Cannot exit BASIC without crashing into the monitor. Typing 'BYE' doesn't
work. The command is not recognized.
I have tried reloading 6.01, using earlier versions of BASIC all to no avail.
HELP.... do I need a newer version of the Ramfast rom chip?
