I think the Imagewriters may be immune to the 3% slower port speeds
of the //c.

There's your main problem. If it's plugged into the printer port in
back, a 'pr#1' should start the printer's echoing of that's on the
screen. [And if it's in the modem port, a pr#2 is needed.]
