The switches work as follows:

S1:  Off allows the Z80 translator to add $1000 to all addresses loaded in
memory to avoid conflicts with the 6502.  This should be left off unless you
like memory conflicts.

S2:  On allows Apple DMA devices to interrupt the Softcard.

S3:  On allows the Z-80 to respond to Apple non-maskable interrupts

S4:  On allows the Z-80 to respond to Apple interrupts.

The default for all switches is off.  They should only be turned on if there is a 
specific reason to do so.

P.S.  The switch that enables sex and free beer existed in the prototype, but
was removed prior to production.
