Tony Diaz has been very helpful to me; however the last time I ordered
I had similar problems that weren't Tony's fault. Although this goes back
a bit, I traded Alltech some unused AE equipment for a rare card I needed;
new complete with all docs. What I got was the card, never got the
documentation, and was shorted an item that I ordered at the same time. I
too called several times and it finally took several weeks to get the part
I needed. Further the technical support guy did not know the difference
between the IIe RGB Monitor and the IIgs Monitor; He suggested I open up
the IIe RGB and switch wires to make it a IIgs (which does not work).
Finally Tony told me the guy did not know what he was talking about (After
I had done the fix and had wasted time in doing so); luckily no damage was
done. But the phone bills and Faxes still cost a lot...

Alltech like the rest of us is human and makes mistakes; but they are not
above making them. I was told 'We have Ceramic Sip Chips for your AE
2 Meg Expander one week; next time I was told 'We haevn't had them in
years'. I also bought a 'new' cut sheet feeder a few years back for a
Daisywheel printer that was 'New' but so old that internal parts had
deterorated to the point it could never work, it was sold rotten in the
box. I'll definitely order from them if I need something; but I too
regretably have had problems with them and other major resellers, not to
mention that many of them are just too darn expensive...
