5248K assuming ROM 3 supports your card with 4 mb.

I have an AI Juice Plus 4 mb in my ROM 3 and get 5248K and largest selectable
RAM disk is 4992K. I think your memory card is an old design which turns out
not to be ROM 3 savvy. I'd look around for a newer 4 mb card to borrow to test
this theory.
