No, I just thought that DMA might not work properly if the card is
behaving as I described. If you currently have DMA enabled and it is
working reliably, then I'm a little surprised.
There is no solution to the loss of 1 MB of RAM, short of switching to a
ROM 1 motherboard or changing to another brand of memory card.
