Setting up ProDOS HD Partition

I've been trying to set up the ProDOS partition on my Mac's HD so that I
could launch programs straight from the HD using my //e Card. Some of
the programs, like Copy II Plus, install right on the HD and run fine.
Others, like The New Print Shop, require that you use an installer
utility to put it on the hard drive. Some won't install at all.

What I am looking to do is somehow modify/patch ProDOS so that whenever
a PREFIX command is executed either from BASIC or from within an
assembly language program, the prefix of my ProDOS partition is appended
to the beginning of the command. In so doing, the program will think it
is being run from the actual floppy. I figure this would be an easier
approach than modifying each program separately.

Has anyone done this before? I primarily use DOS 3.3, and am still
learning the ropes of ProDOS.

Thanks in advance! - Tony :-)
