If you consider helpful replies peppered with derogatory comments and
demeaning vitrioles to "read the faq before you ask such stupid
questions" then your idea of "help" is pretty twisted.

Your problem is that you're too concerned with having the "right" opinion,
rather than seeing the whole picture. I can at least admit that I've
been an ass for carrying this on as far as I have. I doubt you would
do the same (in fact I KNOW you won't).

In my own defense, it takes an ass to repel an ass, and I must point
out that we haven't been seeing any more obnoxious diatribes from
nathan. In my estimation, you owe me a favor for cleaning this place
up of his crap. How's that for a contribution?

: Yeah, whatever. Obviously, you don't like anyone who disagrees with you.

Yeah, whatever. Ditto.

I don't like certain individuals who are adamant about enforcing their
opinions on others, to the point of invoking the name of god in his
effort. I would carry on the same with regards to people like Pat
Robertson and Pat Buchanan and their organizations of cronies. In other
words, zealots of ANY kind disturb me, and I am here to rebuke them.
I'm not afraid to counter their hardline, one-sided opinions with my
own. Someone needs to keep a balance. Pick your sides and stand your
ground. If you're not going away then I'm here to stay too. Deal
with it.

: Sounds like me, except I'm not quite so snotty and condescending about it.
: If A2 is so beneath you, why are you here?

For quite different reasons than yourself obviously. A2 IS beneath me.
I used it as one stepping stone to get to where I am now. I don't see
you building any telephone networks with Apple //e's, so obviously you
understand the same thing I do, but you just choose not to be as blunt
about it.

: I'll judge you as I judge everyone else on USENET: By what they say on
: USENET. Your contribution so far has been flames.

Ditto. Except in your case, literally all I've seen are unproductive
rants. I'm sure I was just another name on the usenet when you passed
by my admittedly more productive messages.

More likely because you were ignored admidst all the clutter.

: I endorse the people who want Turley to go away (and who want Sam
: to shut up) because I think they're right. I've offered justification

I don't endorse anyone but myself. I guess that's the root of the
contention between us: I'm willing to make my own opinions known while
you're content with riding the coattails of the opinions of others.

: This reply is too long already. Reply as you please; I doubt
: I'll followup again.

I doubt you'll be able to refrain. When you do, at least confine it to
e-mail. Thanks.
