Need help on Apple IIe

Could someone please help me out or point me in the right direction,
my daughter just got hold of a Apple IIe from someone and needless
to say there are no disks or manuals with it.

Where can I find a system disk or boot disk for it and since I am a
newbie on the Apple, I am told there are two operating systems
that are used,  Dos 3.3  and  ProDos.  Can someone give me
somehelp on those also and where to find them.

The main thing is the system boot disk though and I noticed the
Apple files have a different extention on the  (bqs or something
like that), is that a file that has to be decompressed and if it
is how do you do it, with what, and where do you get that.

Alot of questions I know, but like said am new to Apple and
need a little help in right direction.
