Most likely their InnerDrive controller card. AI made an internal
HD for Apple IIs that was a combo HD/power supply (obviously replacing
the existing power supply), which had a controller card and a cable to
go between the two. Is that the case? If not, what ports/connectors
are on that card (count # of pins, and note shape of pin layout)?

Sounds like a parallel printer card.
