I checked my Inner Drive card in slot 7 of my IIe and it says: "HARD DRIVE 
CONTROLLER  AI APPLIED INGINUITY (c) 1989  Made in USA  P/N 42189".  It has 4 chips; 
one large one (1/2" x 1 3/8") is marked: "ID20-40  V1.5"

As Nathan said, the HD replaced the original power supply.  It is marked on top with 
a paper label: "Inner Drive 20  High Performance Hard Disk System", etc.

If you have an Inner Drive, congratulations.  What a find!  Hope you can get it 
working--mine's great.
