Re: GS battery replacemen

 Randy gagged excitely on Nathan:

SFC(| No shit, Sherlock. I know people who had to replace theirs years

I was thinking on that matter myself. The cell in my 01 has a date of
01-0something-86 and it works fine; my cousin's battery died several
years ago and the computer is as old as mine chances are.

     | I was making an observation about my uncanny luck with
     | batteries and giving a possible battery source for others

And I'm doing the same; will repost my info as soon as the 1/2AA cell
holder I've ordered comes in and I've got it installed, so that the info
given (about the holder anyway) will be accurate. I'm of the belief
that using the same battery as found originally is better than a
replacement with another size... replacement should be easier IMHO. :)

Happy to say I've not drawn any flak over my attempt to "reinvent the
wheel" or inform the public of other options. I hope it stays that way.
