How do plug mail into the connector? :-) (sorry, I couldn't resist).
I think you meant "male".

The connector on my card is a male IDC-16. IDC stands for "Insulation
Displacement Connector", and the number indicates how many pins it has.
The female part of this connector is used on a ribbon cable. It has two
rows of pins in a rectangular arrangement, and is usually black (though
there are some white ones as well).
The male end is available in three forms: ribbon-cable mounted, upright
circuit board mounted, and right angle circuit board mounted. My card,
it has the right angle variety, and it also has latches on each side to
hold the cable in place (they clip around the back of the female
connector).
This is the type of connector used on the Disk ][ controller card
(except the Disk ][ card doesn't have latches).

The EPROM is a 2732 (4K bytes or 32K bits).
That is an Epson APL B card, which appears to be more common than the
card I have.
