First, which SCSI board are you using? Make, model, and ROM version
would be appreciated if we can help more.
Next, have you verified that the internal drive is uncorrupted and
free of bad blocks? ProSEL-8 and -16 are great for that.
If switching IDs 5 and 6 give problems, have you tried others? It's
possible that the internal drive is flakey at certain numbers. You can
use the whole 1-6 range on most drives.
