Heh. To continue the nit-picking vein of this conversation, Acura doesn't 
even exist anywhere but here in the U.S.  Acuras are Hondas elsewhere in 
the world, which says a lot about American sensibilities, if you think 
about it.

Also, Datsun was =not= a division of Nissan.  It was simply the name 
Nissan used for its export autos.  I have no idea why they did that or why 
they dropped it.  For example, the domestic Nissan Fair Lady was 
essentially the same car as the export Datsun 240-Z.  Last but not least, 
Infinity makes stereo speakers.  Infiniti makes cars. <g>

The best automotive example I can think of for the Apple/Mac name thing is 
 with GM's pickup trucks.  GMC sells pickup trucks under the GMC and 
Chevrolet nameplates.  But you will seldom find a Chevy owner saying, "I 
have a GM pickup."  He'll say "Chevy" every time.
