Question:Is the AE 3 1/2 HD drive hardware or soft

i have one...it is a hardware upgrade....but you need to use their
software to get the 1600k and quite frankly....i had probs getting it to
take the disks..it would reject 2 out of 3....so it was picky...i only
got mine cause the drive blew..i sent it in for the upgrade for 75
bucks...and they just swapped it out....(this is when the drives were at
200 bucks..) so my motives were not really to get the 1600 format.
