i've got one of those mousetrap chips..some guy tried selling this
device in 1986...it  basicaly is an eprom in epoxy with a radio shack
switch on/off at one end...the basic roms on a //e the 1) unenhanced
and the 2) enhanced were copied on to a compatible eprom (not sure
what kind..but it allowed you to put BOTH eproms on 1 chip/socket both
unenhanced and the enhanced on 1 eprom (prob the same mnfg/classof eprom
but an improved 2pak model...some tech type would know the name)

anyway he had to stop doing it cause apple yelled at him for copying the
eproms even though the people he sold them too...already had the
unenhanced version...and i think he charged a bit more for the
enhanced rom copyright with the chip project he sent you.

whatever....but it is possible to to have both (if you have an eprom
burner and could find out the enhanced eprom used and where to get
such...) Somebody  still prob knows how to do this as a mod...and
has specs..there was also another card called the switchback or some
thing..that is a card where you plug in new chip kit and old chip kit
and flip between them...

anyway it works just fine...whenever i have a program that needs the
unenhanced ver i just flip it back...

just a bit of trivia for those out there into this kinda stuff...maybe
someone should revive this project...or at least spec it out in more
detail than i can.

way i could figure out how to multinode a gs...
