Unidentified TRANSPORTER by Corvus

Hello,

I have acquired an  AppleIIGS and hope to be able to use it to aid
in the education of my kids, since their schools are using the IIE
for younger grades.

With the GS I also obtained a card called a Corvus Transporter APPLE.

No docs on the card or GS, but I was able to create some 6.01 boot
disks using the SE at work and a download from the Apple ftp site.
I'm kinda Apple-ignorant but at this moment....

Can anyone shed some light on what this Transporter card is, and
how to use it?

A fellow I work with claims that it is a networking card and useless to
me, but it has no network connectors! I have seen reference to a PC
Transporter, but this doesn't say "PC" and is made by Corvus.

It has a 8-select dip switch, LED, 10 MHZ crystal, and and edge
connector for connecting to the bus.
