Mark:

Mailto 'root' and ask them if you can have this changed.  It probably
will require less than a minute of their time, unless they've configured
an automatic system which doesn't allow for customization.

And if their system won't allow it, you've probably gotten an account
on a system which if it crashes, it'll be down for a long time.  Better
start looking for a better system  :-).
