The only pre-made cable available is a SCART cable from vintageware.
If your 1080 has a SCART socket (some of the Commodore monitors do),
then this may be of interest:

Other than that, yes you will need to "roll your own" cable. Even if
someone wanted to sell these, it would be difficult due to some
monitors requiring the pot between composite synch and ground and some
(most?) do not require this mod. I suppose it would be possible to
identify which model/year monitors required the mod, but its kind of
mute in the fact that the demand for these cables would be so low that
I doubt if anyone could be bothered. Actually, I *know* that no one
can be bothered, else they'd be available for sale. :-)

II FAQ (link provided above by Bill), and if you hit trouble let us
know.
