Yup, two things:

First, Apple is not working on a IIgs emulator.  Several Apple employees
are working on one.  Understand the difference.  It isn't an official
Apple product, and may never be released.

Second, its true that Apple isn't working on a ProDOS plug-in.  When I was
at MacHack I asked one of the Copland/GuS programmers about it and he told
me that one wasn't planned.  I asked why.  The reason is that MacOS 8 is
late already and they want to get it out ASAP.  (You must admit that not
many people use ProDOS anymore anyways).  The feel their resources are
better spend on features that will be more widely used.

However, unlike FSTs, third-party developers will be able to develop more
plug-ins, and i'm sure someone will make a ProDOS one...
