Most people probably understand the drawbacks of HFS now. But I have to ask,
So what? It could be worse. HFS does keep the data in several places.
Detecting problems is hard, repairing them is relatively easy because of that.
Of course backups always help too. Note: the same kind of redundancy is in the
System software of the Mac as in the lower-level HFS structures.
For that reason, the Mac is worth defending -- even if it's a weak defense.
Additionally, the Mac positively shines when compared to some other platforms.
