Isn't transferring covered in an FAQ?

Well, anyway, just have

       - 2 modems, one on your Apple, one on your MS-DOS comp. machine
       - connect them via a phone wire (not a complete phone line!)
       - on both ends, start up a terminal program, and type ATX so that
the modems won't complain about "NO DIALTONE"
       - on one end, type: ATA
       - on the other end, type: ATD
       - your modems will connect
       - simply do a send zmodem in your Apple II terminal program, and
         your IBM will receive them.

This process acts like a connection via a phoneline has been
established. This
is the way I have been doing file transfers ever since I have a modem
(thus
since +- 1989 I think).

Of course, you can have a Mac to read Prodos disks, and copy to its
hard disk,
then copy to an MS-DOS disk, and read it with your IBM.

You can also use a 0-modem and a program like Crossworks. I have never
used
it, and it is commercial too. So the first option might be fastest/
cheapest
if you happen to have 2 modems.
