Back in the day, the 1MB RamWorks in my IIe was useful for working with
larger files in AppleWorks and PublishIt! than could be handled by a 128K
system.  I also wrote an audio player that played through the built-in
speaker (or the cassette port, if you wanted to use an external speaker)
that could load parts of longer files into successive banks and play them
one after the other.  For the 11.025 kHz 8-bit mono files I was playing, 1
MB would hold a fair bit more than a minute of audio.
