The RamWorks III can take up to 1MB of RAM and supports up to an
additional 2MB of RAM on a piggyback card that mounts to that row of pins.
AE sold a patch disk to get Appleworks to recognize the RAM.
I STRONGLY suggest that you upgrade to Appleworks 3.0, which not
only recognizes the RWIII card, but has about 7 million major improvements
over 2.0.
