As I might not have been too clear before, it wasn't the fan
ratting around. It was the plastic posts the power switch screws into
that had started falling apart. My fan's fairly quiet, but could
definitely be better. I might try looking at a local electronics
supply store to see if I can find a quieter and more powerful
replacement. If I'm successful, I'll say what I got.
