Those problems are exactly what's wrong with mine, with a rev 301-F rom.
I bought the board new late last year, so I can't relate to it working
differently.  I called them, and got an return authorization, but I haven't
returned it yet.  Mine does seem to have another problem, where the setup
gets screwed everytime I try to access a CD.  I can, after several attempts,
finally get it to work, but I usually don't have the patience, so I've
just used it on my hard drives, along with the Apple HS SCSI.  Other than
the ability to manipulate partitions and mayby talk to a CD, I can't seem 
much difference between them in my standard 2.8 MHz Rom 1.
