This part's true. See the GUPP 1.0.1 release announcement.

Bug, but a bug in my bug detection tools causing reports of bugs
to be buggy. Sorry to bug you with buggy bug reports. [How many more
ways can I use the word 'bug' in a sentence :]
Basically, GUPP 1.01 fixes all the bugs I know about. [Yes,
including that interaction between Teach 6.0.1 and the 'Choose Font'
dialog that was brought up a few months ago. Forget who mentioned that
(too lazy to pop up www.dejanews.com), but you'll be happy to note
that it works great now.] Well, there might be a 10-byte leak in some
of the QDII Picture calls, but I'm waiting on program to better
demonstrate that.
So, in the absence of anything else to hunt down, I guess this is
sorta a call for bug reports. Something common crash on your system
whenever you do something? Weird things happen at odd times? [No,
I haven't run my bug detectors on AWGS, but I can bet there'll be a
load in there :] If you have any, please email me! I should have
demonstrated by now that I've got some clue level in fixing bugs.
[Not guaranteeing that I'll be able to reproduce, isolate or
fix any problem, but it's worth a shot.]
