You are trying too hard. The UniDisk 3.5 Driver is supplied with
System 6.0.1, provided you have the full six-disk set, and not just a
one-disk "System.Disk".
The simplest way to install the driver is to boot from the ":Install"
disk, go into "Customize", choose "Device: UniDisk 3.5", and install
it on your boot disk. (If you are booting from floppy, you might not
have enough space.)
If you are comfortable using Finder (or another GS/OS-based copy
program), you can just copy the file "UniDisk3.5" into the
"Drivers" directory inside the "System" directory on your boot disk.
It is located in the same relative location on the ":Install" disk.
