from what i've seen of the turboIDE utility software, i'm not sure
that large partitions can be set up.... (pause while i check info)

ok, the following is from tide specs:

|- Supports two hard drives up to 256 MBytes capacity each.
| 
|- Up to eight partitions on one drive, 16 partitions on two drives, 32
|MBytes per partition.

well, there you have it. most of your 2gig ide drive would be unused.
