RE:AppleWorks 5.0 Requirements



Officially, AppleWorks 5 required at least an enhanced IIe with 256k memory 
and 3.5" drive.  If you don't have a 3.5" drive but have a hard drive, you 
can request the program on 5.25" disks for hard drive install.
 
Going "down" -- I discovered you can run AppleWorks 5 run on a 256k IIe with 
only one 5.25" drive, but the disk swapping is intolerable.  However, it's 
tolerable, but not nice, with two 5.25" drives.  You can set it up with a 
boot disk, and separate disks for each of the modules (WP, DB, SS).
 
A practical working system:  At least 512k and a 3.5" drive and another 
drive (3.5 or 5.25) for data storage.
