That may be...but I'd settle for standard text-mode Applesoft with a
command handler for GS/OS instead of for ProDOS-8.  I realize that sounds
strange...but the main point is access to the GS/OS FST's via Applesoft
programs, using standard ProDOS commands.  Sure, you could come up with an
enhanced GS-BASIC version with easy access to all the nice GS stuff, but
would it be compatible with Applesoft ][ tokens and syntax?  For all of
its faults and limitations, Applesoft is a really nice BASIC interpreter,
and I have lots of stuff written in it.  What is really annoying is that I
can't use the nice features of GS/OS when I'm using BASIC.SYSTEM on my GS.
 For instance, I can't read data stored on a DOS 3.3 disk.  I can't use
half of my CDA's 'cause P8 overrides GS/OS.  Stuff like that.  For most of
my BASIC programming, I couldn't care less about SHR graphics and Ensoniq
sound.
