Well Chuck, no offense to you or Candy, but I'd recommend that in her case,
she'd be more comfortable sticking with AOL. "REAL" Internet access
requires a bit of tinkering to get the various components to work just
right, and many (most?) just don't want or need the hassle.

As an experienced user, I was able to get my wife's and my ISP accounts
working without much trouble, but it still took some hand-holding with tech
support on the first try. One must be able to understand clearly what tech
support is saying, and be able to follow their directions correctly.

I was very recently in a situation where I was to help a computer
illiterate get on the 'net. Really, AOL was the only sane choice.

BTW, it's not AOL per se that everyone is bitching about. It's some of
their users.
Christ, I can't believe I expended that much bandwidth hyping AOL. I don't
really like 'em that much either.
