W: Microcom AX9624 info

    Just purchased a Microcom AX/9624c modem at a thriftshop and I
can't get the CD light to come on.  The power and TR lights are
just fine when the computer is on, I see one of the send lights flicker
when I try to throw it an init string, and I do hear a dialtone when I
push the Hook button.  I'm testing this on my GS (which has a USR 14.4
on it so I know the cable is fine) but intend to use it on my //e or
sell it to the usergroup.
 
     The modem has two banks of dips, one in front and one in back, and
I was wondering if anyone had a listing of what the dips do, if that is
part of the problem.  Can anyone help me with the dips?  And by any
chance does anyone anyone have a preferred modem init for ProTerm 3.1
for use with it (beside Generic)?  Email me please while there's still
time for me to return it if there genuinely is something wrong w/ it.
