I recently had to reactivate my IW2 for some labels and found my lid 
magnet missing. I couldn't find it to replace it, so I set a fairly 
powerful magnet on top of the lid, near the power switch. This operated 
the reed switch just as well as the original magnet, so I taped it in 
place. It was a cheap fix and worked just as well as the original. ;)
