Unfortunately, there are two different ROM sets for the Vulcan.
One for the IIgs, and one for the 8-bit Apple IIs. Unless you
can find the 8-bit ROMs, I think you're SOL. Maybe some kind
soul who upgraded to the Vulcan Gold will give/sell you the original
ROMs (despite the adverts, there isn't much of a speed difference).
I can't help as I only have the IIgs ROMs.
