: Apple's Media Control Panel drivers for the CD-ROM drive only work
: with an original Apple CDSC, CDSC+ or CD-150, which use Apple's
: proprietary audio command set. Later drives from Apple (CD-300,
: CD-600) use the SCSI-2 standard audio command set, as do all current
: third-party SCSI CD-ROM drives. You need a different Media Control
: Toolset driver for them.

Get the archive RFMEDIA1.2.SHK from one of the ftp sites (ground is down,
try somewhere else, maybe ftp.ms.uky.edu). Use the SCSI-2 driver.

: (Apple's CD Remote NDA is also limited to the three models listed above.)

The CD-Remote NDA will not work with the third-party drivers either. Use
the Media Control NDA.

: MSCDEX is the "Microsoft CD Extensions" which allow a CD-ROM drive to
: be accessed as a disk drive under MS-DOS or Windows (provided a device
: driver has been installed).

: It is only relevant for a PC.
