I believe the poster is looking for the GS specific version.
 
The //e version would use the same text mode, but the GS version
uses a custom text generator on the SHR screen. It is supposed
to be a lot nicer and nearly as fast and be able to show italics,
underlines, and other styles the way they really look (but not
fonts).

WordPerfect GS was advertised to have a page preview mode that shows
a zoomed out view of the entire page.

WordPerfect has a steep learning curve. For some reason, it was
still always a favorite in the PC world.
