Well... the emulators that I've seen are by definition "pirate" software
as well, because they require illegal copies of the Apple II ROMs and
Apple Operating Software before they can be used. Where do you draw the
line on pirating?
Having said that, I agree that Asimov should NOT have any software title
that can still be purchased commercially. However, I don't think I have a
real problem with titles that have been out of print for 10 years.
