Mac Centris 660av can't read GS disks

I sorta remember reading about this problem here on c.s.a2 many years
ago (when the AV macs first came out, I think), but I didn't pay much
attention since I didn't have a Mac.

Well, now I do :) I just got a Centris 660av, and it doesn't seem to
be able to read disks that have been written to by my GS w/Apple 3.5
drive. Even if I format the disk on the Mac, then write to it on the
GS, the Mac will sit around thinking about it for a while, then say
that the disk is unformatted.

So, is there a fix or workaround? Thanks :)
