RE:AppleWorks to Mac (MS Excel/MS Word or other) conversion
If you have a Mac running system 7.5 (or earlier 7 with the ProDOS file
system extension), just place your AppleWorks (3 or earlier) 3.5" data disk
in the Mac, launch ClarisWorks or some other modern Mac WP/DB program, and
load the AppleWorks file directly. This assumes the program was installed
with the AppleWorks translator -- which would be the case if the Easy
Install was done from the original disks.
As a last resort, you can save the AppleWorks files as text files using the
"print to disk" feature, and import into any Mac program that can read ASCII
files.
