Maybe it is the system software ... I am running v7.5.1 on a Quadra 610
with no problems between my IIgs and my Mac. On the Mac side, did you
enable file sharing and set the Network to AppleTalk? Also, did you setup
a password and user under Users and Groups or enable program linking?
As far as v7.5.3 ... I've experienced numererous network errors on my680X0
machine. I could not "see" my printer at all through AppleTalk ... and my
TCP connection went crazy all the time. I suggest installing v7.5.1 on
the Mac's in question and trying again. Until Apple gets OpenTransport
FIXED for the 680X0 machines ... I would avoid it like the plaque if I was
using AppleTalk for anything.
