Actually my Mac is a PowerMac 7200, so OpenTransport was not the problem
(I can run Netscape,Fetch, and NCSA Telnet fine). What was the problem
was that I had to have the serial cable connected to the GS's PRINTER
port, not the modem port. After I made that switch it worked fine, the
Mac's hard drive showed up on the GS's desktop and I could do file
sharing.
