1> Orca shell & development tools, including Orca/M and Orca/C.  In my 
   opinion the best integrated asm & C development system for the GS.
   Also GNO for those of us who are surrounded by unix boxes most of the 
   day at work and got used to the interface.

2> Graphics programs, such as DreamGraphix, DeluxePaint II, etc...  For 
   those of us who like drawing without having to read 2" thick users manual.

3> Any one of the half dozen of so good MOD players.  If I'm working on 
   something else I can crank up a 4 or 8-track mod jukebox with a hundred 
   or so MODS and I'm set for a couple hours.

4> CDAs - one of my favorite type of program.  There are lots of useful 
   CDAs out and around.  Having a half dozen or more available anytime is 
   always cool.

5> Program launchers, like the Finder or Instant Access or the like.  
   Much easier to run programs than having to type everything in all the 
   time.

There is a bunch of other things I can think of that run off GSOS and not 
P8 that are quite convenient to use, like GSShrinkit, Spectrum, and a 
dozen or so picture, sound, or programming utilities.

I can agree with the original poster, I use prolly 95% GSOS based 
software when I use the GS.
