Yes, it was too late 5 years ago. What new has been developed since then?

A few things from France, mostly show and tell.
A few updates to existing software.

A vast lack of updates for software that desperately needs it!
The impossibility of replacing worn out disks that were copy protected!

And, several things that are NOT pirate software but freeware via 1WSW.
Some of which are being updated!

No, programmers have NOT done anything new. Not because of pirating
(there is a HELL of a lot MORE pirating done in the IBM world, percentage
wise, then was EVER done in the A2 world!!!!), but because they can't
recover several thousands of dollars in costs even if they sold a $100
copy to every A2 user that still exists! If they sell an equivelent
package to under 1% of the IBM users, for $10 each, they would make
millions! And a pirate rate of 2 to 1 wouldn't hurt them at all!
(I don't mean to imply that they would like it.)

No one is going to make money in the A2 world anymore, much as we hate
the growing lack of support. There are not enough of us left to make it
profitable anymore.
